What paving is best for a North Shore driveway?
Driveways need a paver rated for vehicle loads on a properly prepared base. Concrete pavers, clay pavers and thick sawn sandstone all perform well. The base preparation matters more than the paver itself, so we excavate, compact and bed every driveway to suit the traffic it will carry.
Can you pave around a pool?
Yes. Pool surrounds are one of our most requested jobs. We use non-slip stone and porcelain finishes, set correct falls away from the pool, and coordinate coping, drainage and the surrounding garden so the whole area works as one space.
How long does paving take?
A courtyard or path is usually a few days. A full driveway with excavation, base preparation and laying typically runs one to two weeks depending on size, access and the material chosen.
Do you replace or repair existing paving?
We do both. Lifted, drummy or uneven paving is often a base or drainage problem rather than a paver problem, so we assess the cause first and then relay, repoint or replace as needed.
